The City of Vancouver has completed 83 new affordable homes for individuals, seniors, people with disabilities, and families, as part of a mixed-use building at 808 Nicola Street. This initiative, secured through inclusionary zoning policies, includes various unit types and ensures that at least 30% are rented to low-income households. The development also features office, retail, and restaurant spaces, contributing to a vibrant community. Since 2017, over 700 social housing units have been completed in partnership with developers, with more projects underway.
